“Big Mood” stood as the flagship concept for adidas Football in SS22. Inspired by emoji usage and the range of emotions experienced in sport, Big Mood was loud in color, materials, and graphics.
The “Big Mood SMU” portion of the concept presented a team-color interpretation for commercial appeal. The brief was to focus on telling the story in a wearable and team appropriate color palette. Across multiple models, Big Mood was interpreted as a single color screen print on the uppers with accompanying velcro patches of a mashed up emoji and an adidas logo.
